Sarah Bayne
Sarah, a native of Pittsburgh, PA, graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, and from Walden University with a Master’s in Reading and Literacy. While at Penn State, she performed as a member of Orchesis Dance Company and Dancescape Theater. As a member and president of Orchesis, Bayne had the opportunity to choreograph and perform in many student showcases, including the American College Dance Festivals and the PSU 48-hour Dance Marathon. After graduation, she came to Virginia where she began taking classes at the Russell School of Ballet and then soon proceeded to join the staff. Sarah has choreographed numerous dance numbers for The Fairfax Ballet Company’s Jazz, Tap and Modern Dance Revues, as well as assisted with the Spring Ballet performances and the company’s Nutcracker Performances. Outside of the studio, she has coached the Fairfax High School Dance Team, adjudicated several venues for the Fairfax Academy dance program, worked as an Educator at Lululemon Athletica, served as the Talent Coordinator for Skydancer Entertainment and danced with locally based Entertainment Agencies. Currently, Bayne is a Reading Specialist in Fairfax County, is an active team member at Washington Sports Club and is thrilled to lead and dance with DHH Dance Collaborative, through its ninth season.
Katrina Colucci-Chang
Katrina is a multiracial (Puerto Rican/Chinese/Italian) biomedical engineer and dancer. She was trained in ballet, jazz and modern dance at the Western Ballet Theater from teachers Nana and Mumy Badrena. At George Mason University, while she was studying Bioengineering she got a minor in Dance. At Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) she was part of the student-led dance group called SalsaTech. This group specializes in learning and teaching Latin dances such as salsa, bachata and merengue to the student population and to the local community. It was with this group that in 2019, the team won 2nd place in the collegiate Bachata congress at Richmond Virginia.
Currently she is part of the DHH dance collective where she has performed in two recitals. In 2022 she performed in Jazz piece and in 2023 she performed a hula/tahesian duet. In addition, she is part of the Ladies Team for Ferocity Dance Company, a bachata fusion company directed by Kat Arias.
Professionally she is a biomedical engineer working for the government. In her free time she likes reading, trying out new food, and traveling to new places with her family and the family dog Georgie.

Lindsey Crowell
Lindsay grew up in the DC area and danced at Eleanor Pernia Studio of Dance in College Park with very classic and Broadway style ballet, tap and jazz. In college she danced with the Orchesis Dance company and fell in love with modern. Adult dance until now has mostly been random classes and living room improv sessions!

Christina Hajost
Christina's enchantment with dance sparked at the age of 5 when she took her first steps onto the dance floor at a local community center. From that moment on, she was immediately hooked. She studied classical ballet, jazz, and modern under the guidance of The Russell School of Ballet, and she danced professionally with The Fairfax Ballet and The Virginia Dance Company at the University of Virginia. She currently dances with Dance Happy Hour (DHH) Dance Collaborative based in Arlington, VA. Her favorite style to perform is "anything angsty."
Outside the studio, Christina is a software engineer, crafting innovative solutions for her clients (aka an extroverted computer aficionado). When not immersed in work, she can be found indulging in her love for coffee, hiking terrain like El Capitan in Yosemite, or engrossed in the pages of a captivating book.

Bianca Ho
Bianca’s journey in the world of dance began in her native Singapore, where her passion took root. Commencing her ballet training at the age of four under the guidance of Singapore Ballet Academy (1998-2008), she honed her skills and nurtured her love for movement. She continued her ballet training when she moved to Shanghai, China, where she trained and performed with Jin Bao Long Ballet (2008-2012).
Her pursuit of dance led her to Boston University, where she embarked on a new chapter as a member of the Dance Theatre Group (2012-2016). Upon completing her studies, she continued to take opportunities to perform as a founding member of Nozama Dance Collective in 2016. She then debuted as a choreographer in 2020 with Hinge Dance Company in Oxford, Mississippi (2020-2021). She earned her 200-hour yoga teacher certification in 2020. Bianca currently dances with DHH and will debut as a company choreographer this season!

Maria Horner
Maria is an enthusiastic dancer with a passion for tap and jazz. She discovered her love for dance during her time at Catholic University, where she first started taking dance classes and earned her dance minor. She has been an active member of DHH since 2021, performing in Seasons 7, 8, and 9. Additionally, she is also a proud member of Monumental Tap Company, in residence at Knock on Wood Tap Studio in Takoma Park. By day, she works as a CPA, specializing in financial statement audits. Dance serves as her creative outlet, offering joy and inspiration and a chance to use the other side of her brain after work. Let's keep the rhythm alive and dance on!

Lara Malakoff
Lara trained professionally at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School from age 5-17. She performed in countless productions with the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, including as Marie in the company’s production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker. Throughout high school, Lara attended pre-professional intensive summer dance programs in Pittsburgh, Vermont, Colorado, and Michigan. After graduation, she expanded her dance horizons, earning a minor in modern dance at The George Washington University. She returned to the stage in 2014 with Allure Dance DC and has found her dance home with DHH Dance Collaborative.
When not dancing Lara is working as a consultant to improve the lives of low-income people; chasing after her dance-loving six- and two-year-olds, and squeezing in an occasional yoga class.

Crystal Makle
Crystal's journey with dance ignited at the age of 8, within the vibrant atmosphere of her local community center. Since then, she has immersed herself in a diverse array of dance styles including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, heels, modern, and contemporary. Her passion for performance has led her to perform with groups such as the Baltimore Blast Cheerleaders, Towson University Pom Squad, Dance Baltimore, Joy of Motion, and the DHH Dance Collaborative, where she has been both a performer and choreographer since its inaugural season. Crystal's choreographic talents extend beyond DHH, as she has crafted routines for dance ensembles, sports dance teams, hip hop crews, pageants, and soloists throughout the region.
Beyond her contributions to DHH, Crystal serves as the tap dance director, mini ensemble director, and instructor of tap, jazz, acro, and hip hop at the Maryland Academy of Dance. Outside of dance, she holds a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree and fulfills her passion for education as an elementary school teacher.

Rachel O'Rourke
Rachel is a stay-at-home mom to two rambunctious toddlers. She trained in the Royal Academy of Dance method before joining the School of Richmond Ballet. At Hillsdale College, she earned a dance minor and helped found a chapter of the National Honor Society of Dance Arts. She loves this opportunity to keep the joy of dance in her life.
Amy Rossi
Amy has always loved movement, music, and creating community. Amy graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA with a minor in dance. While in college she danced with the Orchesis Dance Company and taught as a guest teacher at the University. After college, Amy joined the faculty at the Russell School of Ballet in Chantilly and taught and choreographed there for 14 years. She taught beginning through advanced levels of jazz, contemporary and lyrical and many of her students went on to study dance in college and dance professionally.
Today, Amy spends her days as the Chief People Officer at Expel, the leading detection and response provider. When not giving her energy to creating a great place to work, she’s supporting Wolf Trap as the Chair of its Associates Board or playing guitar in her band, The Anti Janes.
Through it all, Amy’s dedicated to finding more ways for people to create together, because through creation and connection we all find more joy and peace.
